How TrackAm handles your data

Last updated 3 November 2026.

Who we are

TrackAm is a delivery alert and rider management platform run by Apex Code Studio, Business Name Registration No. 9974906, 4, Francis Oremeji, Ikeja, Lagos State, Nigeria. We follow the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023.

Our Data Protection Officer is Sultan Akanni. Contact: hello@apexcodestudio.com.ng or +234 816 756 0091.

Our role

When a delivery company uses TrackAm, that company decides why your data is used and is the data controller. We process it for them, on their instructions. We are the data controller for solo riders, for company user accounts, for security records and for the list of numbers that asked to stop receiving texts.

If you received a text about a delivery

The delivery company gave us these details for your delivery:

  • Your name, phone number and delivery address, with its map location, landmark and any note
  • The order reference, payment type and amount
  • The delivery code, and whether each text reached your phone

We use them only to send you delivery texts and to confirm the delivery. We never use them for marketing. To stop the texts, call 0816 756 0091. Your number then gets no further alerts from any company on TrackAm.

If you are a rider

  • Your name, phone number and a scrambled (hashed) copy of your PIN
  • Your live location, only while you are on duty, never when you are off duty
  • Your duty history, the deliveries you complete and a push notification token for your phone

Your location is seen by your own company on its dashboard. A customer sees your first name and position only while their own ride is in progress. You can go off duty at any time.

If you use the company dashboard

Your name, email address, a hashed copy of your password and your role in the company.

Why we are allowed to use it

  • Delivery texts: to perform the delivery contract between you and the delivery company
  • Rider location: the company’s or solo rider’s contract and legitimate interest, limited to working time
  • Stop list: our legal duty to respect your objection
  • Accounts and security: our contract with the company and our legitimate interest in keeping the service safe

Who else receives it

We use these providers to run TrackAm. Some are outside Nigeria; each one handles data under its own data protection terms with us. We do not sell personal data or share it for advertising.

How we protect it

Each company can see only its own riders, deliveries and customers. Data travels over encrypted connections, passwords and PINs are stored hashed, delivery codes are kept apart from other data, and staff access needs two-factor sign in.

Cookies

We use only the cookies the service needs: one that keeps company users signed in, and one that remembers whether you chose the light or dark theme. No advertising or tracking cookies.

Your rights

Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act you can ask us to:

  • Show you the data we hold about you, or give you a copy
  • Correct it, or delete it
  • Stop or limit how it is used, or object to it

Contact us at hello@apexcodestudio.com.ng. If the request is about a company delivery, we will pass it to that company and help them answer. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission at ndpc.gov.ng.
